The Series

Thinking Black is passionate about supporting and upskilling young Black voices. This year we're launching a series of online workshops for Black state school students in Years 12 - 13 in collaboration with Jesus College, Oxford University.

 

Students will receive advice on UCAS applications, interview skills, subject choice, interview skills, exam revision, mental well-being support, and more. Students will also receive the chance to get feedback on their personal statements and meetings with current Black students from Oxford and more. 

Our Tracks

1. Thinking Uni Standard Track: ( Applications close September 17th, 2024)

  • Open to students who meet the following criteria: Black heritage, attend a state school. 

  • These students will receive access to five online live sessions, recordings, and written feedback on their personal statements.

2. Aspire Track: ( Applications close September 12th, 2024)

  • An additional 50 students will be selected for enhanced support, which includes three one-on-one tutorial sessions with graduate mentors.

  • These sessions provide detailed feedback on personal statements and interview preparation.

Eligibility

Students must be:

1. In Year 12-13 when applying for the programme
2. Black or mixed-Black state-school students
